Offered by the original owner (with original June 16, 1995 purchase receipt in hand), this is a meticulously preserved, indoor-stored example of Santana’s early-generation premium Easton aluminum Sovereign. The hand-welded USA frame is in beautiful cosmetic and structural condition with no dents or deep scratches. The polished finish looks brilliant, the custom wheels are perfectly true, and the drivetrain indexes flawlessly. This is a complete, ready-to-travel package featuring high-end period upgrades and the original factory spares. Component Highlights:
- Shifters: Rare Sachs New Success Ergopower 3x8 integrated levers (Campagnolo Record alloy bodies factory-spaced to index Shimano perfectly). Logos are clean and crisp.
- Rear Derailleur: Shimano XTR M950 wide-range derailleur.
- Brakes: Shimano Deore XT parallel-push V-brakes paired with a custom front brake booster arch to eliminate fork flex and provide rock-solid stopping power.
- Wheelset: Araya Japan VX-300 rims, hand-built and custom serial-numbered (#188058) by Wheelsmith.
- Tires: Brand new Specialized All Condition Armadillo Elite tires (less than 100 miles).
- Saddles: Stoker Terry Liberator Comfort / Captain Selle San Marco Turbo.
- Pedals: Ritchey MTB Dual-sided clip-in pedals included (color-matched red anodized finish).

- Yakima Tandem Roof Carrier: Includes the fork-mount roof rack with round and square bar adapters for single-person vehicle loading (it helps to have a step ladder to get the bike on the rack).
- Original Factory Cockpit: Includes the original Santana factory stoker stem and aluminum drop handlebars to easily allow conversion away from the currently installed ControlTech straight/bullhorn bar configuration.
- Stoker Note: Currently equipped with a vintage Softride suspension stoker assembly. The suspension cartridge is currently non-functioning and needs attention, but the included factory rigid cockpit makes a traditional conversion incredibly simple.
- Provenance: Originally purchased and beautifully maintained with support from the iconic Adams Avenue Bicycles in San Diego.
